This fellows just arrived yesterday to Bogotá City. Las night we enjoyed a nice dinner and talked about all the challenges they went trough, it was a great time. There was also time to sign some photos and T-shirts as well.

Why 2600 meters nearest to stars?
That is Bogotá's slogan, The city is located on a plateau which is 2600 m over the level of the sea!

HK0NA: Some examples about how "not to spot"

Now a days, most of the individuals and also DX expedition are tight to the “ETHICS AND OPERATING PROCEDURES FOR THE RADIO AMATEURS”. There is a another one which summarize how we should behave. Last one is well known as “CODE OF CONDUCT”. 

As part of operation we also have “Internet based tools” and the most used is the Cluster. There is a misunderstanding about the correct use of it, there are some radio operators who realized that Cluster is a “Social Networks” so we can send messages about our feelings so is common read messages that has been sent globally and some of those are judging, in some cases with not that nice adjectives.

If we review the “ETHICS AND OPERATING PROCEDURES FOR THE RADIO AMATEURS”, section III, 6.5 and is related with cluster use and we can read:

Do not ever use the announce full function as a chat channel. Also, never use this function to settle an argument or to insult someone. The whole world is watching you!

This is the point that I want to get in, those operators who can easily complain or blaim any other, of course, those guys most be comfortably seating in his/her shack, having also access to as many facilities as needed like WC, food, etc. This article is intended to change people’s mind about placing comments globally or under the spot section.

Have you stopped thinking about your counterpart  conditions? Have you considered that he/she may have any handicap (eyes, ears, hands, etc)?  Do you know how long an expedition arrangements can take? Not just money but also leaving home, been in a risky conditions, etc?

The basic rule is: “if your comment do not add Value to the ham community then don't send it!”

As the documents state, “The whole world is Watching you!”. What you have wrote will remain as a “dont's”, thanks a lot guys!
